Through a minimalist design approach that maximizes and focuses on natural daylight, the building offers a lasting first impression and is a place where children will want to come daily.

Every learner is unique — and learning spaces should reflect that. We design our environments to support diverse ways of thinking, collaborating and creating, preparing students with the skills needed for the 21st century.

Our flexible, collaborative environments integrate digital technology and are intentionally built to support meaningful, project-based learning.
Let’s learn outside
“Outside” first of all means in nature. We have a principle of “Nature Makes Our Day”: outdoor learning is a central part of the curriculum, so nature and plants are an integral part of learning at LIS. “Outside” also means in the community. Through projects and holistic learning, learners are required to contact adults in their different roles: parents and relatives, friends, professionals, and workers. There is no separation between ‘school life’ and “real life, ‘schoolwork’ and ‘real work’.
Marinha Grande
Our first campus is located in Marinha Grande. It is housed in a beautiful, historic building which dates from 1966 and is adapted to suit modern times.
